Strategies to Overcome Childhood Trauma and Reclaim Your Confidence

Start Shaping Your New Life Today

Eliminate negative self-talk

What you think about yourself and what you say to yourself, is the most important thing anybody can say to you. Keep it positive.

Have more focus and clarity

Bouncing back from rejection, criticism and failure takes strong self-motivation and determination. Trust yourself, be clear and focus on what you really want to do in life. We learn from failure and we try again, and if we fail we try again. Know what’s important to you.

Set healthy boundaries

It’s time to introduce you to yourself and get to know yourself better. Why do you feel what you feel? Know your desires and wishes and set healthy boundaries in your relationships.

Create a self-care routine

Create time and space to do the things that make you feel good and fill you with positive energy. A daily walk in the morning, watching a sunrise or a sunset, taking time to read a good book, gentle yoga , having a warm soothing bath. Anything that you love to do and that makes you feel like the very best version of yourself.

Helping You Find Success With Personalized Coaching

Feel Like It’s Time to Make a Change in Your Life, But Can’t Seem to Find a Way?

My coaching, based on my own real-life experience, is especially for people who have grown up in traumatic childhood circumstances. Children who have been left to grow up with a small amount of practical support, but with very little emotional support and affection. Children who have not received much guidance, love, kindness, compassion, and care in their childhood.

What Is Coaching?

What's it like being coached?

Coaching is like talking to a person who has specialised in the sort of life challenges or issues where you think you could do with some advice and support. A coach will help you see the challenging situations with more clarity, and help you find the answers to these challenges. In general, we all have the answers within ourselves, but sometimes we need help seeing and understanding these answers.

How can a coach help me?

A coach will help you understand your actions and reactions to life’s challenges. First of all by just listening to you, and asking you questions to go deeper into the subject. You will gain a better understanding of yourself, get to know your wishes and desires and understand why you feel what you feel in the situations that you find challenging.

Can a coach help me become more resilient?

Talking to a coach can also make you feel more supported. You are not alone with your challenges, there is support for you, someone to talk to who is neutral and non-judgmental. Someone who’s there to support you. Someone who’ll help you find out what you can change in your life and become more resilient in these challenging situations.

Can a coach make me feel more confident?

The guidance of a coach can make you feel more understood. It can make you feel that you are enough just as you are, increase your confidence and your belief in yourself.

How Do I know If Coaching is Right For Me?

Would you like to feel more free and confident talking about your childhood?  Would you like to get to know yourself better;  be able to develop healthy boundaries so that you will have even better relationships?  Do you perhaps sometimes feel that you are different from everyone else around you? Maybe you wonder why you feel that empty gap inside you – what does it mean?

Feel free and confident to talk about your childhood.

What stops us from talking about our childhood? Usually we feel some kind of shame or guilt about our traumatic childhood and shy away from questions about it. With support you can gain the confidence to talk about it and loose the shame and guild. No child is responsible for their childhood and what happened to them.

Introduce yourself to yourself.

With support you can learn to understand your feelings better, why you feel what you feel. Perhaps you feel that empty gap inside you, but you don’t understand why. Once you understand your own feelings, the next step is to be able to express your feelings and put words on them, name them – that’s a very powerful tool.

Cultivate even better relationships.

A loving and caring relationship starts by loving and caring for yourself.  With support we can learn to accept ourselves just as we are, befriend ourselves and show some compassion for ourselves. Once we are comfortable with who we are we and have found our sense of self-worth – then we are ready to have even better relationships with healthy boundaries.

Become more resilient when facing challenges.

With support we can learn to bounce back from rejection, failure or criticism. Start by talking positively to yourself, think positive thoughts and be patient with yourself if you make a mistake or fail at something. That’s how we learn and grow in life. And when you are successful – praise yourself and tell yourself that you have done a good job. Show determination and strong self-motivation if you have a special plan or project, for your career or for your personal life. Know why you want to do it and don’t let other people demotivate you or even stop you from doing it.

Manage your stress and live a healthier life.

Remember that your psychology affects your biology. With support you can learn to stay calm and relax at times when you are under pressure at work or in your family life. Keeping your nervous system calm is the best you can do to keep yourself mentally and physically healthy. And that’s the best you can do for yourself and all the people who are dear to you.

My Approach

Living through my own childhood trauma I learnt that the one thing that had suffered the most was my confidence, I lacked confidence.  I had very little understanding and knowledge about myself, my feelings, why I felt what I felt, what my desires and wishes were and what my capabilities were. I believe it is important to start the recovery process by building up more confidence, getting to know yourself on a deeper level, learning to use your voice to express your feelings, set healthy boundaries, build up more self-motivation and determination.
